second self // Madi Chwasta

Introducing our second second self guest! We're delighted to welcome back Madi Chwasta, who joined Rubiks last year for songbirdsongs. 

Madi Chwasta is a percussionist based in Melbourne. She completed a Bachelor of Music at the University of Melbourne in 2015 under the tutelage of Eugene Ughetti, Peter Neville and Sergei Golovko. Having a passion for new music, she has been a regular participant in the Speak Percussion ‘Emerging Artists Programs’ in 2011, 2012 and 2015, was an ensemble member in Kate Neal’s award winning Semaphore and has performed with the Argonaut ensemble at the Bendigo International Festival of Exploratory Music for the past two years. As a soloist, she has performed with the Kooyong Chamber Players, was a semi-finalist in the 2014 Australian Marimba Competition, was selected to perform in both the VCE ‘Top Class’ and ‘Top Acts’ Season of Excellence in 2013.
