Australia Fest, India

Rubiks have recently returned from a tour to India, performing with Short Black Opera as the final event in Australia Fest. We were incredibly fortunate to also collaborate with renowned tabla master Pandit Ashis Sengupta. 

Over two performances in Mumbai at the Royal Opera House and New Dehli at the Australian High Commission Residence, Rubiks and Short Black Opera premieredDeborah Cheetham AO's latest composition, Woven Song: Article 27. 

During our time in India, we were also privileged to work with the children at the Dharavi Transit Camp Municipal School introducing western music, instruments and songs in many languages, including Yorta Yorta.
