2021 Pythia Prize Campaign
This week we launched our 2021 Pythia Prize Fundraising campaign, and the response from our community has been incredible. In just over three days we’ve already reached 25% of our target!
The Pythia Prize is Rubiks’ annual commission project, aimed at addressing equality and gender representation in contemporary music. The prize is open to all Australian female-identifying and non-binary composers, and provides the opportunity for a composer to collaborate with Rubiks to create a new work.
We're pleased to announce applications for the fourth Pythia Prize will be opening in November - but first we need your help to make it all happen! We're incredibly proud of this initiative, of the works that past winners Samantha Wolf, Christine McCombe and Bianca Gannon have created with the Prize's support - and especially of the wonderful community that has grown around the Pythia Prize. Together we're creating a wonderful opportunity for innovation, collaboration and some great new music!
Every dollar raised will support the commission and promotion of the 2021 Pythia Prize winner's work, and all donations over $2 are tax deductible. Help us shape the future of Australian music!
